JASR Peer Review Policy

All manuscripts in the SCOPUA Journal of Applied Statistical Research (ISSN 3104-4794) are reviewed through the double-blind peer-review process, and the identities of the authors are kept confidential from the reviewers, and vice versa. To make this possible, anonymous versions of the manuscript are sent to referees. Submitted papers are first considered by the SCOPUA Journal of Applied Statistical Research editors after submission. Papers that do not fall within the scope of the SCOPUA Journal of Applied Statistical Research are desk-rejected. In addition, papers that fail to meet a minimum threshold for quality and originality are also rejected without being sent to the reviewers. Papers passing through this initial editorial scrutiny are then typically sent out to referees. The editor is responsible for the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of articles.

SCOPUA Journal of Applied Statistical Research allows the editorial team to submit work to the journal according to COPE guidelines. When an editorial board member(s) submits an article, he/she must disclose the conflict of interest and recuse themselves from the entire editorial and review process, and the Editor in Chief will manage that manuscript. The submission will be treated like any other, with a focus on the article's originality, importance, and relevance, and will receive a fair, unbiased review, ensuring no influence from the editor's affiliation. The article must still meet the journal's standards for quality, originality, and relevance, and should not be treated differently because of the author's editorial role.  The Editor-in-Chief must ensure the confidentiality of the submitted paper during the review process.
